BRIDGE BUILDER

Doris Symonds 

If there was ever a person who worked hard to build alliances and to form coalitions, this is the person.  This member not only works to recruit members to NAWBO, she works outside of NAWBO to help women who are just getting started with their businesses, giving them a vision to look forward to and opening doors for them when she can.  She has so much energy and she can wear you out if you try to keep up with her.  She embodies the mission of NAWBO, she was my cheerleader this year, and she was a winner of a scholarship to the National NAWBO convention, because of her belief and support in this chapter. 

Her positive attitude shines through in her community work and in her chapter work.  She oversees a huge Expo every year that supports women business owners where she encourages all of us to be teachers and learners of knowledge.  I am so happy to be able to present the bridge builder award to Doris Symonds, owner of T.A.L.K.
